Beginning her nursing career in the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Ms. Taylor worked in the Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical units across New York City. Seeing another woman of color with numerous accolades motivated her to go further in her education to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Her drive and insatiable quest for knowledge and success; the need to distinguish herself in the field prompted Ms. Taylor to then obtain her MBA in Healthcare Management. 3 years later she graduated with Honors from Long Island University with an MSN and was the representative of the Adult Nurse Practitioner graduating class.
Ms. Taylor practiced in healthcare settings within the lower-income neighborhoods of New York City. She served as Interim Vice President of Healthcare Services for a large non-profit organization. Soon after, she became the Manager of the Occupational Medical Department at The New York Times.
