Growing up in an underserved community in Brooklyn N.Y., Ms. Taylor was determined to defy the odds. Beginning her nursing career in the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Ms. Taylor worked in the Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical units across New York City. As a Registered Nursing student, she was inspired by a speech given by the President of the school. Seeing another woman of color with numerous accolades motivated her to go further in her education to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Her drive and insatiable quest for knowledge and success; the need to distinguish herself in the field prompted Ms. Taylor to then obtain her MBA in Healthcare Management. 3 years later she graduated with Honors from Long Island University with an MSN and was the representative of the Adult Nurse Practitioner graduating class.

Ms. Taylor practiced in healthcare settings within the lower-income neighborhoods of New York City. She served as Interim Vice President of Healthcare Services for a large non-profit organization. Soon after, she became the Manager of the Occupational Medical Department at The New York Times and Director of Nursing  at a large multispecialty FQHC serving the underserved population.

As a healthcare leader in New York City, Ms. Taylor has collaborated with local organizations to serve as a health adviser, more importantly as a conduit providing education geared towards disease and illness prevention for companies and individuals alike.

Ms. Taylor is driven to deliver quality compassionate care to a diverse client population, combined with her own personal lifestyle change journey, she has a defined and profound sense of purpose in self-care. Experience has taught her the importance of caring for the whole being; mind, body, ability, and readiness to change is key to establish the overall best quality of health. Understanding care should be individualized as everyone enters their journey to wellness at different levels, she believes in meeting her clients where they are working together, to create a plan that fits their life to achieve optimal health and wellness goals.

Additionally, Ms. Taylor is a vocalist. She has been a member of award-winning show choirs and choruses performing in national singing competitions and has worked with producers of the legendary Luther Vandross. Recognizing the power of creative expression, she produced a talent showcase for inner-city children transitioning out of the foster care system.
